About the Bilt Card Program
The updated Bilt Card Program includes three new credit cards, each designed to deliver high value rewards on rent, mortgage, and daily spend. These questions cover key details about how the program works - from earning points and making payments to choosing the card that best fits your lifestyle.
Which bank issues the Bilt Card? Who services the Bilt Card?
The Bilt Cards (Blue, Obsidian, and Palladium) are issued by Column N.A., Member FDIC, pursuant to license from Mastercard International Incorporated. Cardless Inc. is the servicer of the Bilt Cards. Cardless is a financial technology company, not a bank.

The new lineup of Bilt Cards gives you the richest rewards on rent, mortgage, and everyday spending. All three cards are designed to help you earn the most valuable points, everywhere you spend. Will I earn points on rent and mortgage on all Bilt Card options?
Yes. With every Bilt Card, you can earn points on rent and mortgage payments, and you’ll never pay a transaction fee when you pay through Bilt. For maximum flexibility, you’ll now be able to choose one of the two options for how you want to be rewarded with the new Bilt Card 2.0: Flexible Bilt Cash or Housing-only rewards. See more details on how this works in the Bilt-exclusive Rewards Overview section below.
Will I earn Bilt Cash with all card options?
Yes. You can earn 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday spend with all Bilt Cards when you select the Flexible Bilt Cash option as your Bilt-exclusive bonus rewards option.¹ All Bilt Members also earn $50 of Bilt Cash for every 25,000 points they earn toward elite status.
How do you make rent or mortgage payments with any of the new Bilt Cards?
With your Bilt Card, rent and mortgage payments made through Bilt are pulled directly from your linked bank account and do not use your credit line. This means that your credit line can stay available for everyday purchases. Simply link your bank account in your Bilt account, and your rent or mortgage payments will be debited from there while you can still earn rewards on those payments.
Which card should I choose?
You can apply for any of the cards in the new Bilt Card lineup. Each card offers different benefits, so choose the one that aligns with your spending habits and preferences.
Can I have multiple Bilt cards?
No. Each member can only have one Bilt Card at a time.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my card later?
No, unfortunately upgrades and downgrades are not supported at this time.
Can I add an authorized user on my new Bilt Card?
Yes. You can add authorized users to your account. Your authorized user will be able to accept their invitation on or after 2/7/26. By default, any rewards and Bilt Cash earned from an authorized user’s spending will accrue to the primary account holder. If you prefer, you can update your settings so that rewards accrue to the authorized user instead. The primary account holder will still remain responsible for all charges and use of the card, and can manage their authorized users directly in their Bilt account.
What if I want to cancel my Bilt Card?
To cancel your Bilt Card, call the customer service number on the back of the card or use the chat feature in your Bilt account. Closing your Bilt Card will stop you from earning rewards with the card, but your existing Bilt Points and Bilt Cash will remain in your account. As a reminder, you’ll remain a Bilt member and can continue using Bilt without the Bilt Card.
Who should I reach out to if I need help with my new Bilt Card?
To contact Bilt support about your Bilt Card, call the customer service number on the back of your card or send us a message via the chat function on bilt.com.
How do I temporarily turn off my Bilt Card?
You can lock and unlock your Bilt Card by visiting the Wallet tab, and tapping “manage” under your Bilt Card.
Bilt-exclusive Bonus Rewards Overview
In addition to your card earnings, choose one of the two Bilt-exclusive bonus reward options: Flexible Bilt Cash or Housing-only rewards. This section describes the differences between the two options.
Will I be charged a transaction fee on housing payments through Bilt?
Bilt cardholders will never be charged a transaction fee on housing payments, no matter which bonus rewards option you pick.
What is the difference between Flexible Bilt Cash and Housing-only rewards?
You can pick between two bonus rewards options:
Flexible Bilt Cash: With this option, you’ll earn 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday purchases, in addition to the points earnings associated with each card.1 Bilt Cash is a flexible rewards currency that gives you even richer rewards across the Bilt ecosystem — use it dollar-for-dollar for monthly credits, or redeem to unlock up to 1X points on rent and mortgage payments through Bilt, with no transaction fee.
You can use Bilt Cash to unlock points on housing payments at a rate of $30 of Bilt Cash to 1,000 Bilt Points. Use as much of your available Bilt Cash as you want to unlock up to 1X points on housing payments, up to your payment amount. For example, on a $2,000 rent payment, redeeming $60 in Bilt Cash earns you the full 2,000 points. You must redeem your entire available Bilt Cash balance.
Housing-only rewards: Instead of earning Bilt Cash on your everyday spend, you’ll earn points on housing payments automatically, up to 1.25X. Your points multiplier increases based on how much you spend on your card each billing cycle—the more you use it for everyday purchases, the more points you earn on your housing payment made during the same billing cycle.¹
- Spend at least 25% of your monthly housing payments on everyday purchases, earn 0.5X points on your housing payments
- Spend at least 50% of your monthly housing payments on everyday purchases, earn 0.75X points on your housing payment
- Spend at least 75% of your monthly housing payments on everyday purchases, earn 1X points on your housing payments
- Spend the same or more of your monthly housing payments on everyday purchases, earn 1.25X points on your housing payments
If you don't reach the minimum spend threshold in a billing cycle, you’ll still earn 250 points on your housing payment through Bilt. You’ll be able to track your progress to each threshold clearly in the Bilt app each month.
How do I use Bilt Cash to unlock points on rent with no transaction fees?
With any Bilt Card, you have the option to use Bilt Cash to unlock points on rent and mortgage payments, always with no transaction fee, when you’ve selected the Flexible Bilt Cash rewards option. Selecting this option will enable you to earn 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday spend.¹
What if I don’t want to earn Bilt Cash with my Bilt Card?
You can pick between two bonus rewards options to determine how you are rewarded on housing payments. If you don’t want to earn Bilt Cash, you’ll be able to select Housing-only rewards as your Bilt-exclusive bonus rewards option.
Instead of Bilt Cash, you’ll earn Bilt Points on everyday spend associated with your card, and up to 1.25X points on housing payments automatically.¹
What is the default Bilt-exclusive bonus rewards option?
If you do not choose Flexible Bilt Cash as your bonus rewards option during card onboarding, your bonus rewards will be defaulted to Housing-only. In your first statement period, you can switch your bonus rewards one time to Flexible Bilt Cash, which will take effect immediately. After your first statement period, any changes to your selected Bilt-exclusive bonus rewards option will take effect during the following statement period. See Offer Terms for more details.
How is my point multiplier calculated if I pick Housing-only rewards?
With Housing-only rewards, how many points you earn on rent or mortgage payments depends on how much you use your card for everyday purchases during the same billing cycle.
At the end of each billing cycle, we look at:
- Your housing payment amount, and
- Your everyday spend during that same billing cycle
That comparison determines which points multiplier you qualify for (up to 1.25X) on housing payments made during that cycle. Because your spending can change, your multiplier can change month to month. Points earned on housing payments are dropped into your account after your statement closes.
As an example, let’s say you make a $2,000 rent payment on April 5. You spend $1,500 on everyday purchases during that billing cycle (March 28–April 27). Since you spent 75% of your rent amount on everyday purchases, you qualify for 1X points on your rent payment.
That means you’ll earn 2,000 points, which will be added to your Bilt Rewards account after your statement closes around April 28.
Can I request a credit line increase?
At this time, credit line increases are not available for Bilt Card 2.0 products. We hope to offer this feature soon and will keep Bilt cardholders updated as new options become available.
Earning Bilt Cash with the Bilt Cards
When you use a Bilt Card, you have the option to earn even more than just Bilt Points. Bilt Cash gives you flexible, dollar-for-dollar value across the Bilt ecosystem and unlocks access to additional benefits across Bilt. This section explains how you can earn Bilt Cash with your card and all the ways you can use it.
What is Bilt Cash and how does it work?
Bilt Cash is a flexible rewards currency–separate from Bilt Points–that gives you dollar-for-dollar value to use at Bilt partner merchants and exclusive access to experiences and benefits that points can’t buy. Bilt Cash does not replace Bilt Points. Instead, it complements Bilt Points to offer even more value and unparalleled flexibility across the Bilt ecosystem.
How do I earn Bilt Cash?
Every Bilt member, including cardholders, earns $50 in Bilt Cash every time they earn 25,000 Bilt Points toward elite status. Each time a member hits that 25,000 point milestone, Bilt Cash will be unlocked and ready to use. You can view your Bilt Cash balance and your progress toward your next $50 milestone in the wallet tab.
If you have any of the Bilt Cards, you can also opt to earn 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday purchases¹ — making the Bilt Card one of the most rewarding ways to earn as you spend. To earn 4% back in Bilt Cash, you will need to select “Flexible Bilt Cash” as your Bilt-exclusive bonus rewards option.
How much Bilt Cash do I earn with each card?
Bilt cardholders can opt to earn 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday purchases with any Bilt Card by choosing Flexible Bilt Cash as your Bilt-exclusive bonus rewards option.1 There is no limit to how much Bilt Cash you can earn.
What's the difference between Bilt Points and Bilt Cash?
Bilt Cash works alongside Bilt Points, with each earning you value in different ways.
- Bilt Points: Valuable, transferable points you can earn on rent, mortgage payments, and other eligible spending. Their value varies based on how you redeem them, whether for travel, experiences, or even a future home down payment.
- Bilt Cash: A dollar-for-dollar rewards currency you earn on everyday spending (excluding rent and mortgage payments). $1 of Bilt Cash is $1 in value, and can be used directly throughout the Bilt ecosystem at our merchant partners.
You earn both rewards currencies with your Bilt Card if you choose Flexible Bilt Cash as your Bilt-exclusive bonus rewards option.
Where can I use Bilt Cash?
You can use Bilt Cash for both dollar-for-dollar value across the Bilt ecosystem and early access to select experiences.
- Dollar for dollar value: Redeem your Bilt Cash for monthly or annual credits across the Bilt ecosystem, up to applicable limits.
- Access: Use Bilt Cash to unlock access to elevated rewards, exclusive experiences, and benefits that money can’t buy.
For more information, visit our dedicated Bilt Cash article here.
When do I receive my annual Bilt Cash benefits?
If you hold the Palladium Card, you’ll receive an annual Bilt Cash bonus as part of your benefits. This bonus is automatically credited to your Bilt account upon account opening or around January 1st of each subsequent calendar year.¹
Can Bilt Cash expire?
Yes. Your Bilt Cash will expire at the end of the calendar year, though you can carry over up to $100 into the next calendar year.
How do I redeem Bilt Cash?

What account controls does the primary cardholder have for authorized users?
The primary cardholder can manage the following directly in the Bilt app:
- Pause spending: Temporarily stop new purchases for this user.
- Choose who earns rewards: Keep the Bilt Points and Bilt Cash earned from their purchases, or let them earn rewards in their own Bilt account.

Do authorized users get the same card benefits as the primary cardholder?

By default, Bilt Points and any Bilt Cash earned from an authorized user's spending will accrue to the primary cardholder's Bilt account. Based on those settings, your authorized user may be able to redeem rewards they’ve earned as an authorized user within their own Bilt account.

How does spending show up when there are multiple spenders on the account?
Once an authorized user accepts their invitation, the primary cardholder can see all authorized user transactions in their Bilt app, alongside their own purchases. Authorized users will see their own transactions in their Bilt account once accepted.

Authorized user activity typically appears on both the primary cardholder's and the authorized user's credit reports. This can help authorized users build credit history. However, the primary cardholder is ultimately responsible for all charges.

Am I responsible for charges made by authorized users?

- Your credit utilization isn’t impacted, since the housing payment transaction doesn’t increase your credit card balance
- You can still earn points on eligible rent and mortgage payments based on the Bilt-exclusive rewards option you select. See Offer Terms
