Getting Started

What is the Bilt x Equinox partnership? 

Bilt Members can now join Equinox directly through the Bilt app, upgrade and manage their membership, redeem Bilt Cash for Equinox credits, book spa services, explore group fitness class schedules, and browse Equinox clubs and their amenities — all in one place.

How do I join Equinox through Bilt? 

Log in to your Bilt account and navigate to the Wallet tab, then to the Equinox membership section. From there, you can sign up for an Equinox membership without ever leaving the Bilt app.

Can I choose a start date for my Equinox membership?

Yes, you can select a start date up to 14 days in the future for your Equinox membership. If you sign up in the Bilt app with a future start date, your membership will become active immediately, you will receive your membership agreement from Equinox and you will be billed for your first membership fee.You will be billed based on the pro-rated membership amount corresponding to your start date.  

Can I modify the start date for my upcoming Equinox membership?

Yes. If you signed up for an Equinox membership with a future start date, you can reach out to concierge@equinox.com for assistance with modifying your membership start date. 

What exclusive benefits do I get as part of the Bilt x Equinox partnership? 

Bilt members get several exclusive benefits as part of the partnership: 

• Members who join Equinox can choose a limited-time bonus welcome offer as part of the sign-up process: either 10,000 bonus Bilt Points, a complimentary 60-minute personal training session, or a complimentary 50-minute spa service. 
• Use the Bilt app to book spa services at eligible Equinox locations, whether they are an Equinox member or not. 
• Browse Equinox group class times in the Bilt app
• Bilt members who have Equinox memberships can redeem Bilt Cash for Equinox credits that can be used toward spa services, personal training sessions, or Studio Pilates sessions. More details are available in the Redeeming Bilt Cash for Equinox Credits section of this article.

Can Bilt members get the Bilt welcome offer if they sign up at an Equinox club directly? 

Yes. Bilt members who sign up for Equinox memberships outside of the Bilt app will receive an email offering them the choice of welcome offer.

I signed up at a club directly, but I haven't been offered a signup bonus. What should I do? 

If you sign up at a club directly, you must create an EQX+ account. Creating an EQX+ account tells Bilt you have an account, and you will receive an email to select your sign-up bonus 1-2 days after your EQX+ account is created.

How do I use my Bilt welcome bonus? 

If you sign up for a new Equinox membership through the Bilt app and are eligible to select your welcome bonus, you will be able to choose from three options during sign up: 

• 10,000 bonus Bilt Points: Your Bilt Points will be deposited into your Bilt account on the day your membership begins.
• Complimentary personal training session: You can view your complimentary training session in the Profile section of the EQX+ app. Once you complete your Equifit assessment, it will be automatically applied to any future, eligible personal training session bookings. 
• Complimentary spa service: Book a service via the Bilt app or the Equinox app. You can view your complimentary spa service in the spa section of the EQX+ app, and it will automatically be applied to eligible bookings at the time of service. 

Do my complimentary spa service or personal training session expire? 

Yes, the complimentary spa service or personal training session expire 6 months after the start of your membership.

Can I manage my Equinox membership through the Bilt app? 

Yes, you can join Equinox via the Bilt app, browse clubs, and update your payment settings in the Bilt app.

What if I want to cancel my Equinox membership?

You may cancel in club with a club manager, via mail as described in your Membership Agreement, by emailing Cancellations@Equinox.com, or by logging into your account on Equinox.com. Notice periods vary by state and in some states, there may be additional cancellation methods available, please review your Membership Agreement for requirements specific to your Membership. In certain states, if you cancel soon after an increase in Membership Dues, you may have additional rights.

If you are going on an extended vacation or unable to use the club for a brief period, we recommend that you freeze your membership, instead of cancelling. To inquire about placing your membership on freeze or for a copy of your Membership Agreement, please contact Concierge@equinox.com.

What if I already have an Equinox membership? 

If you already have an Equinox membership, you can still access the Bilt x Equinox features in the app but you will not be eligible to earn the Bilt exclusive welcome bonus for new Equinox members.

What if I want to upgrade my Equinox membership?

If you already have an Equinox membership and wish to upgrade your membership, navigate to the ‘Manage’ section of your Equinox membership. You may then select your preferred membership. Note: all prices shown are estimations. Equinox will confirm your upgrade and price within 3-5 business days. 

Redeeming Bilt Cash for Equinox Credits

How do I redeem Bilt Cash for Equinox credits? 

Eligible Bilt Members can redeem Bilt Cash for Equinox credits on a biannual basis (twice per year). To redeem, visit the Wallet tab and find the Equinox credit redemption option. If you have enough Bilt Cash to redeem and you have not already redeemed your credit for the period, it will be available to be redeemed.

How much Bilt Cash can I redeem for Equinox credits? 

Your redemption amount is based on your Bilt member status:

If you do not have enough Bilt Cash to redeem the full credit amount and you have more than the minimum redemption amount ($50) you will be able to redeem the balance of your Bilt Cash for a credit of a lower amount, but you will forfeit the remaining value of the credit. What can I use my Equinox credits for? 

Equinox credits can be applied toward the following services:

• Treatments at The Spa
• Personal Training sessions
• Studio Pilates sessions

Credits cannot be applied toward general club membership dues or other services not listed above.

When can I redeem my Bilt Cash for an Equinox credit?

Credits will be available for redemption twice per year. One credit will be available to be redeemed from Jan 1-June 30th of a calendar year, and one credit will be available to be redeemed July 1 to December 31st of a calendar year. 

When do my available Equinox credits expire? 

Credits are available to be redeemed on a biannual basis, one from Jan 1- June 30th of the calendar year, one from July 1-December 31 of the calendar year. Available credits won’t roll over and will expire if not used during the eligible period. 
 

Do the credits expire once I have redeemed my Bilt Cash for them?

Yes. If you redeem your Bilt Cash for an Equinox credit but do not use the credit for an eligible booking within the half-year period, your credit expires. That means a credit redeemed on January 3rd would expire on June 30th. Likewise, a credit redeemed on July 4th would expire on December 31 of this year.

If my Bilt status increases (ex. From Blue to Silver) - do I receive an additional $50 in EQX credits?

If your Bilt status changes and you have not yet redeemed your credit for the period, the amount of Bilt Cash you can redeem for Equinox credit will increase corresponding to your status change. If you have already redeemed your credit for the period, you will not receive additional credit for the period, but you will receive the increased credit amount during the next period.

What is Bilt Cash? 

Bilt Cash is a rewards currency — separate from Bilt Points. For more information, visit our Bilt Cash FAQ.

What if I don't have enough Bilt Cash to cover the full redemption amount? 

You can redeem Bilt Cash for a credit that is less than the full available credit amount, but please note that by doing so you will forfeit the remaining value of the credit. The minimum amount you can redeem is $50.

Booking Spa Services

Can I book spa services at Equinox through the Bilt app? 

Yes. Bilt Members can browse and book spa services at Equinox directly through the Bilt app. Navigate to the Wallet tab, then the Equinox page and select "Spa" to view available treatments and book an appointment. You do not need to have an active Equinox membership to book spa services at Equinox.

Can I book multiple spa services in the same appointment? 

No, you can only book one service at a time. However, you can add multiple add-ons to your booking.

Can I use my Equinox credits when booking spa services through the Bilt app? 

Yes. If you have redeemed Bilt Cash for Equinox credits, those credits can be applied when booking eligible spa treatments. Once you redeem your Bilt Cash you will be able to see your corresponding Equinox credit in the Gift Cards & Rewards section of the Equinox app. Tell the front desk you’d like to apply your credit to your spa service when you check in.

Can I pay for my spa bookings with Bilt Points? 

No, at this time you cannot pay for spa services with Bilt Points. 

How do I change or cancel a spa booking? 

To change or modify a spa booking, contact the Equinox club location where your appointment is scheduled by phone. Changes or cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of the appointment. You will be charged for the full cost of the appointment if a cancellation is made less than 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Is gratuity automatically applied for spa treatment bookings? 

Yes, Equinox applies an automatic 20% gratuity at the time of service for US club locations. If you’d like to modify your gratuity, you can tell the desk at checkout or call the Equinox club before 8pm on the day of service.

Is there a minimum age for spa services?

Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to book a spa treatment at Equinox.

Can I make a spa booking for someone else? 

At this time, you cannot make a spa appointment for someone else through the Bilt app.

Fitness Classes

Can I view and book group fitness classes through the Bilt app? 

Bilt Members can browse the Equinox group fitness class schedule directly in the Bilt app. Tap on a class to be taken to the Equinox app to reserve your spot. Class booking opens 26 hours in advance of the scheduled class time.

Are all Equinox group fitness classes visible in the Bilt app? 

The Bilt app displays the available class schedule for Equinox locations. Class availability may vary by location. Booking is completed through Equinox's app.

Locations & Amenities

Can I find Equinox club locations in the Bilt app? 

Yes. Bilt Members can browse Equinox club locations and view the amenities available at each location directly within the Bilt app.

Can I make spa bookings at any Equinox club location?

Not all Equinox club locations have spa amenities available. You can book spa services at eligible locations in the Bilt app.

Troubleshooting

I redeemed Bilt Cash but don't see my Equinox credits. What should I do? 

Credits may take a short time to appear in your Equinox account after redemption. If your credits have not appeared in the rewards section of your account within 48 hours, please contact Bilt Member Support.

I'm having trouble joining Equinox through the Bilt app. What should I do? 

Make sure your Bilt app is updated to the latest version. If you continue to experience issues, contact Bilt Member Support for assistance.

Who do I contact for help with Equinox-specific services, bookings, or billing?
